Unpacking “The CopyForge” for the first time, publicly 
With nearly a Million Dollars of Ad budget managed, I can tell you I have tested a thousand and one possible ways to sell. I created a Mechanism to craft copy (written communication) that sells - foolproof. 

I like to call it “The CopyForge”.

Within the first year of establishing The CopyForge I could help one of the most well-known communication coaches in Europe triple his conversion rate over a specific marketing channel. Which led to 304,919$ generated revenue (over this one marketing channel) with just 41,469$ Ad Spend*
“Nice, Alex, you can make someone else money, but how can I do it for myself?”
The CopyForge has six non negotiable steps and one recommended bonus step.

Each step builds upon the previous one. Like you wouldn’t start building a skyscraper from the 6th floor, you have to start with step one and build it up to step 6 in order to succeed with it.

The foundation holds the entire building.

Again, no difference in copywriting.

The first step is the most important and time consuming part of the process. Yet overlooked 9 out of 10 times.

1. The Curious Explorer

It's time to go information hunting. You want to REALLY know your audience.
You have to be able join the conversation they’re having in their head. 

You want to feel their desires, pains and frustrations, in order to deeply understand what transformation they strive to achieve and what roadblocks keep them from success. 

If you go to shallow or fully disregard this step (as 90% of coaches do) you can’t communicate the value of your product. 

So, how do you get to know your ideal client on such a deep level?

The best and most effective way to learn about your customers is to talk to them. Create a standardized survey and interview your existing customers. If you don’t have enough customers to interview, look for forums, reviews of products that solve a similar problem or model (don't copy!) the major players in your niche.

And lastly. Please. Don’t just let AI do the work for you. It does not work. Yes, its assistance is helpful, but AI (mostly) uses the average of all the information available. Average is not emotional and personalized enough.

Your goal for this step ist to have a clear understanding of your audience's current situation (starting point) and their dream situation (transformation goal).
Beware of your biases. You already have certain beliefs surrounding your audience - some might be true, while others will be wrong. Don’t just look to confirm your bias.
Utilizing this is powerful. It literally drives people to buy, if done right. I want to leave the world a better place, which is why I vet every client we help with selling more of their products very closely. I can’t influence what you do with this and the following information on your own. Just a plea to use it for good.

2. The Empathic Builder

It’s time to outline the steps between their current situation and their desired destination. 

To make writing easier for you, while keeping it relevant for the readers, your goal is to clearly map out the path your audience needs to take.

You'll outline what your audience needs to know, feel and believe to see your product as the bridge from their current situation to their dreams. If you've done step 1 diligently you'll have more than enough information to map out their journey.

That’s where you integrate your objective as the bridge (selling your digital product for example). 
Utilizing this is powerful. It literally drives people to buy, if done right. I want to leave the world a better place, which is why I vet every client we help with selling more of their products very closely. I can’t influence what you do with this and the following information on your own. Just a plea to use it for good.

3. The Creative Writer

You now should have a clear structure that shows you in which order (steps) you need to present information to your audience.

It’s time to let it flow. 

Just write. Don’t overthink it. Don’t correct anything you write (I know it's hard for perfectionists), but the creative side of your brain will tune down its output if you correct it too much.

Let it flow, we’ll trim it later.

Your goal here is to write all ideas down. No idea is bad. Like a sculptor you want to start with plenty of useful material to perfect it in later steps.

4. The Humble Genius

It may seem a bit odd, but it’ll improve the quality and impact of your copy threefold. 

Don’t look at your copy for at least one day. Separate yourself from it. Otherwise your ego and pride won’t let you view your copy neutral. You’ll keep seeing the genius in each sentence (difficult trap to avoid, even if it sounds silly at first). 

Try to become less attached to your writings - time helps.

5. The Happy Perfectionist

Here comes the part all perfectionists were waiting for.

Time to trim the fat.

Cut everything out that’s not relevant. 

Your goal is to only keep the most relevant bits. 
If the paragraph still makes sense, without one sentence, delete this sentence. 
“Alex, but this sentence is SOOO good.” 
Try getting the good into the rest of the paragraph, without the sentence. It’s always possible.

Lastly check grammar and spelling. 

And as a bonus, let someone else read your copy. Choose someone who shares their opinion honestly or tell them someone else wrote it for you - then they’ll be more direct and stop sugarcoating.

6. The Inner Artist

It’s time to integrate your copy within the medium you wrote it for (Website, Funnel, Email, Ad etc.) and enhance it through design. 

The design surrounding the copy helps transport certain emotions and makes it easier to read. So great to have, but not our main priority. 

Just don’t look like (and obviously don’t be) a scam.

There you have it. 
All the mandatory steps I use to make anything sell. 

But there’s one more thing I do to keep growing sales...

7. The Obsessed Scientist (Bonus Step)

You’ll notice that there will be too many different dreams, pains and frustrations to use at once. 
In a single headline for example. 

So I will write two headlines. One focusing on pain/desire A and the other one on pain/desire B. 

I test everything. 

There’s always a test running. 

If you never stop testing, you’ll always find ways to improve the conversion rate. 

Conversion Rate optimization is super powerful, because it brings in money right away - at no extra cost.

Imagine your Webpage get’s 1,000 monthly users and currently 0.5% buy your 1,000$ digital product. That’s 5,000$. 

If you increase your conversion rate from 0.5% to just 1.5%, you suddenly make 15,000$.

That’s just ONE extra percent and it brings in 10k. Without any extra advertising budget. 
Very powerful.

The CopyForge in a nutshell...

1. The Curious Explorer: Get to know your audience on a deep level. Understand their fears, frustrations, goals, dreams and roadblocks.

2. The Empathic Builder: Map out the thinking and emotional process your audience has to go through to see your product as the bridge between their current situation and their goal (passing the roadblocks).

3. The Creative Writer: Don't overthink it. Connect the dots from the 2nd step. Use your acquired knowledge about your audience and just start writing.

4. The Humble Genius: Step back and detach yourself from your writings to judge it from a neutral standpoint.

5. The Happy Perfectionist: Now it's time to cut out everything but the best. Everything that's not relevant needs to go.

6. The Inner Artist: Integrate your copy into your medium of choice (website, funnel, ads etc.).
7. The Obsessed Scientist (Bonus Step): Test different pains, desires and roadblocks. The more you test, the higher your conversion rate (and the money in your bank) will grow.
What finding my mission changed

(Bigger impact, time & money freedom and fulfillment)

At 19, fresh out of school and fueled by youthful ambition, I dove headfirst into self-employment. 
I started an online marketing agency for restaurants and doctors. With zero marketing knowledge, I quickly realized I can’t close any clients.

So, I ventured into e-commerce to build my digital marketing IQ. I absorbed knowledge like a sponge - courses, seminars, books, and endless YouTube videos. After multiple failures and unsuccessful shops, I finally struck gold, scaling my online store to over $40k per month. 
I felt on top of the world and thought to myself 

“I finally made it.”

BUT…

the pandemic hit, and my logistics crumbled. Everything broke into pieces. 

I was devastated.

After a stint as head of online marketing, I returned to self-employment and founded "TheLeadgency." 

With a lot of digital marketing experience under my belt I helped businesses convert attention into paying customers, and things were going well (consistently).


Until a communication seminar shifted my entire perspective. 

It taught me more about life than marketing and sales. It revealed my true mission.
